Report #31 Dravuni Island, Fiji October 25, 2016 Tuesday Part #3 Of 3 Sailaway 64 Pictures

More photos of the afternoon………….

Leaving by noon

Not too many folks did the climb

Nearby islands

Leaving the island

Beach was getting empty

End of the stay here – 4:30pm

This island looked deserted

Locals did the beachcombing after we all left

Closest island to Dravuni

Secluded beach

The last of the tender boats

The pilot boat

More islands in the group

Might be a few hour ride to Suva

Last tender

Wonder if another ship visits here tomorrow?

Ready to lift the boat up

Coming home

Fishing boats of the locals

Last of the passengers

My favorite spot at sail away

Watching the last boat

Fishermen watching us

Pilot boat was ready to leave too

Sailor hooking up the pulleys

Empty beaches

You can see the trail to the top

Two miles end to end

A clearing made for pineapples

Must get a lot of rain here

Secluded beach – inaccessible to us

Wind was picking up

Steep end of the island

Resort on the neighboring island

A big rock

No one lives here

A few sail boats out this far

Looks really nice and private

The island is getting smaller

Not too small for this camera

Uncrowded area

The last chance to say "bula"

The friendliest people

Looks like a military vessel

Sunset was 6:10pm

The sail away happened on the lower promenade deck today

A very different sunset tonight

Clouds were unusual

Going down slowly

Looked like rain on the right

Like what the clouds do to the rays of the sun

Going fast

Getting darker

No green flash tonight

Fading colors

Softer shades of the sunset

Never did rain today

Although it looked threatening

Gone

Angry-looking sky

Still no rain

Once the sun is down, it cooled off

Time to go inside

And away we go…………….
