Sail away pictures…..

A most colorful tug

The windmills as taken from the aft pool deck

Walk to the old walled city

The tug waits to assist us

The road to town

Perfect place to pick up the wind

The old city down low, the new city on the top

Here comes the last bus

Never made it up high

What a view they must get

A popular destination for northern Europeans

Bet it gets wicked hot here in the summer

Small boat marina

Close to the city

Calm waters today

Steep hillsides

Small boats sharing the dock with us

So much better than tendering

Lucky for us, there were no other large cruise ships here today

No sail away party here

Rock walls

Built on rocks

Steep cliffs

Dense labyrinth of the old city

Pulling away from the dock by 5:30pm

Gull watching for easy pickings

Here comes the tug

Probably a hotel

Leaving the pier to make room for a ferry

White housing stands out

A land bridge between the islands

The small beach we walked

Local gull

No pelicans flying here

Gull

Some new buildings going up

Hotels and condos

More places for the million summer visitors

Gardens surrounded with rock walls

Looked new

Spread out housing

A lighthouse on the very top

Expensive digs, we bet

Cliffside views

Here comes the ferry

The lighthouse, also people standing up there

Bet it is windy up there

Heading west towards Malta

The ferry was taking our spot….good timing

One boat in the harbor

Green hillsides

Bet they turn brown in the heat of the summer

Calm waters will not last too long

Moon is getting fuller……
