Report #35 Napier, New Zealand February 4, 2018 Sunday Mostly sunny & 70 degrees Sailaway Part #4 Of 4 59 Pictures

The finale…..

Five cool vintage cars

Local car owners in 1930’s dress

The fellows sure loves their vehicles, don’t they?

The band and singer, who  played the clarinet well

Check out those furs

They entertained for an hour

The group greeted the folks coming back from tours

Is that a teddy bear in the back seat?

Keeping the tradition alive

Wonder if they come for every cruise ship?

At least extra security did not prevent them from being here

Off limits to people

Remember Lincoln Logs?  Look the same, only bigger.

Are they done yet?

Singing with a megaphone

Talented group

1930’s look about it

Raccoon tails on the antenna

Cape Kidnappers on this bluff

Like the fellow’s Mickey Thompson shoes

Ready to depart

This is a Fiat

Away he goes

This is a Dodge

The teddy bear car is a Desoto

A lady driver, no less

The blue vehicle was an Austin

Last, but not least, a Ford

And away they go…..

Hope to see them again some day

Watchers from the Bluff Hill Domain

They will have a long watch, since we don’t leave until 11pm

Freighter still working

Breakwater of the commercial harbor

Calm waters

End of a lovely day

Top of the bluff…..killer views of Hawke’s Bay

Volcanic in nature

Commercial docks

Pilot boat

Flying herring gull

Upscale digs

Cannot be clearer than today

These mountains protect this bay area

Small fishing boat

Coming home for the day

Many layers of mountains

The most fertile valleys of Hawke’s Bay

The fruit basket of the North Island

Also wine country

Almost deserted pool deck

Bluff Hill of Ahuriri

Most of the shuttle buses were gone now

Silos of the harbor

Gull in flight

Hoping to see more gannets

But these guys will do

Silver gull

Flying in flocks here
