Milford Sound Continues……..

Notice the size of the ship compared to the cliffs

The little pilot boat followed them

A lodge at the end of Milford Sound

The Jewel was passing us as they exited the sound

Leaving smoke, not footprints

A large waterfall

Working kids on our ship

Largest fall

Fullest fall

Lots of spray

Beautiful setting

Time for us to leave

There was a small hidden airport here

So windy when the ship turned around

Many plane rides

The most photographed fjord

Streams of the falls

These hills house some birds

Most of the birds are flightless

Small planes

Fly through these tight canyons

Spires among the mountains

They get so close to the cliffs

NCL moving out

Heading towards choppy waters

Eventually the guests went inside

Must be quite cold up that high

Ancient mountains

Pilot boat

Heading out

Almost empty now

Boat tour gets right under the falls

Yep, it was that chilly

Hazy afternoon sun

So windy, it was difficult walking

Security guards will soon clear the deck

Green peaks

Wet all the time

Stream blowing a mist

Keeps the hillsides green

Another helicopter

Massive peaks

Wet and wetter

A comfortable ride

Easy site-seeing

The only way out

Waterline of the rocks

There goes the Jewel

Another pilot boat

Wonder which way they will go?

Fjord gulls

Great color for the pilot boat

Bundled up

Rainforest

Abandoned beaches
